Together, we will share Chahna's tips ,tricks and clear tutorials , along with my own experiences as an apprentice cake mum , to help you embrace your own culinary adventures.

So I 'm new to blogging and , on top of that , I am now a ghost blogger for my pastry chef daughter , Chahna . She has worked as a pastry chef in some of the finest Michelin starred restaurants in the UK , including Marcus Waring at The Berkley and the Heston Blumenthal Fat Duck . She started young and endured all of the abuse , sexism and rediculously long hours that restaurants of that level specialised in - though I believe that the whole fine dining profession has more recently been improving its kitchen environment . Burnt out at 27 , Chahna decided that she wanted a more acceptable work/life balance and to eventually have enough time to start her own family . So she created a home based pastry business, Kowhai Cakes and Chocolates .
Despite , or because of , her incredible skill and creativity with all things pastry and chocolate , she also has the gift , common amoung many top chefs , of dyslexia . And that is where I come in .
So despite being a very basic home cook , and definitely not a fan of tiny , overpriced fine dining meals , I have always found writing to be relatively easy .
So by combining our skills in this Mother /Daughter blog , I hope that we can provide you with a range of delicious desserts , chocolates and bakes starting with all of the beginner's kitchen recipe and equipment fears , most of which I have , and continuing on to pastries , chocolates and bakes that will wow yourself , your family and your friends .
